Instructions on how to silence and reset Junior Fire Alarm System
- When the system activates refer to your evacuation procedures.
- If the activation has been identified as a false alarm, check the fire alarm panel and find out which detector/zone has been activated.
- When the device has been located (by finding either the red call point that has been smashed/activated or the smoke detector/heat detector with the red light on it) and the false alarm identified go to panel :-
- PRESS ENTER (located in center of directional arrows on keypad), THEN UP, UP, UP, UP, UP, ENTER THEN “SOUNDERS ACTIVATE/SILENCE
- THIS WILL SILENCE THE ALARM SOUNDERS
- GO TO THE AFFECTED DEVICE AND CLEAN/VENTILATE (If it’s a smoke detector a vacuum cleaner can be used to do this), OR RESET WITH A TEST KEY (if it’s a call point). SOME OLDER CALLPOINTS USE GLASS AND THIS WILL NEED REPLACED
- RESET PANEL BY PRESSING “SYSTEM RESET”
- If the system goes off again REPEAT STEPS 1-4 OR;
PRESS ENTER, UP, UP, UP, UP, UP, ENTER THEN SOUNDERS ACTIVATE/SILENCE
